By using Olive Avocado ("the app"), you agree to these terms.
Olive Avocado looks up food products by barcode and gives you an AI-generated verdict based on your stated health priorities. It can also estimate the likely ingredients, allergens, and calories of a photographed plate of food.
Olive Avocado provides informational guidance only. It is not a substitute for professional medical, dietary, or allergy advice. Product and nutrition data comes from Open Food Facts, a crowd-sourced database that can be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. Always check the physical packaging yourself, especially if you have a serious allergy or medical condition.
The "Analyze a plate" feature guesses at ingredients, allergens, and calories purely from how a photographed meal looks. It cannot see hidden ingredients (sauces, oils, seasonings) and should never be relied upon as confirmation that a dish is free from a specific allergen.
If you submit photos and details for a product Open Food Facts doesn't have yet, you're contributing to Open Food Facts' public, open database โ your submission becomes publicly available data, the same as it would if you contributed directly through Open Food Facts' own apps. Only submit products you're comfortable adding to a public database, and only submit accurate information.
Olive Avocado is provided free of charge, "as is", with no warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any health outcome, allergic reaction, or other consequence arising from reliance on the app's verdicts, allergen flags, or estimates.
We may update these terms or the app's features at any time. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
